For nearly 30 years, Iverna Gardens Montessori has been at the heart of early childhood education in Kensington, London. As part of Gardens Montessori, we are committed to providing an authentic Montessori experience, nurturing independence, creativity, and confidence in every child.

Our Beginnings

Founded in the early 1990s, Gardens Montessori has grown to become a cherished part of the Kensington community. Over the years, we have upheld the Montessori principles while continuously evolving to meet the needs of modern early years education.

A New Chapter

Inheriting the school from its previous owners, Chitra Kripalani embraced the opportunity to carry on the Montessori tradition. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has shaped Iverna Gardens into a nurturing haven for young learners, ensuring that each child is supported in their individual journey.

Growing with the Community

We are thrilled to be expanding our learning experience by introducing a forest school at Iverna Gardens. This will provide children with an opportunity to develop key life skills in nature, reinforcing their connection to the world around them.

With a career spanning 30 years, Chitra’s dedication to Montessori education is the driving force behind Iverna Gardens Montessori. Inspired by her own children’s learning experiences, she remains passionate about empowering young minds through independence and self-directed learning​.

Our team of teachers is highly qualified, holding teaching degrees or higher education qualifications in Montessori pedagogy. They work closely with parents, ensuring each child receives a holistic and nurturing education.
