Admission and Fees - Iverna Gardens

Admissions Procedure

All children go on to the waiting list. We look at each term as it comes along, see how many places we have free, and then offer those places to children on the list in the order of their registration and payment of the reservation deposit. Children must be aged a minimum of 12 months to qualify for entry to the nursery, with the Playgroup sessions being available for younger children.

Registration

The Registration fee of £150 is payable up front to cover administrative costs.

Deposits

When your child is offered a place at our nursery, a £2500 deposit is payable. The place is only confirmed once this deposit has been paid. This is fully refundable providing your child either graduates with us or, if they leave prior to graduation, we are given one full term’s notice in writing.

Fees

Fees are payable termly in advance and reviewed annually.
A full term’s notice is required before the removal of any child or the term’s fees will be due.

We are registered with a number of childcare voucher companies. Some employers use these companies to provide childcare benefit vouchers to their employees.

We are registered for applicable Government childcare grants:

The Universal Entitlement, which provides 15 hours of free education per week from the term after children turn three (cut-off dates being 31/08, 31/12, 31/03). You will not be charged for the 15 free hours, but, to be part of the Gardens Montessori community and cover additional services, you will be charged the difference between the fees published below and the amount of the grant. The precise monetary value of the termly grant varies according to term length but is currently around £1500 depending on the length of the term.

The Extended Entitlement for working parents of children of 3 to 4 years of age, which provides an additional 15 hours per week (30 hours in total). This grant is means-tested and information about it, including how to apply, can be seen here.

Working Family credit for 2 year olds, which provides 30 hours childcare credit. Means tested and parents need to apply to the HMRC. Newly started in September 2025

Working Family credit for over 9 month olds, which from September 2025 now provides 30 hours childcare credit. This is means tested and parents need to apply to the HMRC.

Government Tax Free Childcare scheme. For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year

FEES FOR 2 TO 5 YEAR OLDS

Breakfast (drop off at 8.15am): £8 per session

Morning Sessions (9am to 12 noon):
Morning fees for 2025 to 2026 will be based on a weekly rate of £295 per week, unchanged from the past few years. They will be charged in proportion to the length of the term with a deduction for the applicable Universal, Extended and working parent credits mentioned above.

Termly Fees prior to any funding entitlement is as below.

Afternoon Sessions

Iverna Gardens (3 to 6pm): £30 per session
Victoria Road (3 to 5pm): £20 per session

ADULT & CHILD PLAYGROUPS FOR 8 TO 23 MONTHS
Afternoon sessions (3pm to 4.30pm) £20 per session
