Tundra is the coldest biome. Tundra experiences only two seasons: winter and summer. Winters are bitterly cold, with summers only getting to 18C. The plants that grow do not have much time in summer so are small and hug the ground so as to avoid the bitter winds. Tundra is too cold for most animals to live, but the children will learn about the animals that are able to live in such a climate.
