This week we will explore Africa. The children will learn about the wide variety of animals, cultures and climates. They will have the opportunity to listen to African music, watch dancing videos and learn about some of the produce of Africa, such as gold, coffee, tea, grapes and diamonds. The children will learn that Africa is the second largest continent in the world and has 54 countries.

They will also be introduced to major geographical features such as the River Nile, Sahara Desert, Lake Victoria and Mount Kilimanjaro. The children will make their own representations of the continent, which will be added to their world map.
