This week we will be learning about chemistry. Everything on Earth is made up of matter. Matter is made up of many different tiny parts called molecules, and molecules are made up of even smaller parts called atoms. When we look at ourselves and everything around us, we see these nanoscopic atoms joined together as whole units, which are either solid, liquid or gas. Chemistry is the study of these three elements, how they exist in the environment, and how they react under certain situations. The children will be doing different chemical experiments; for example, making a gas to blow up a balloon, or making milky fireworks. In drama, they will listen to three pieces of music which represent the states of solid, liquid and gas, and move along accordingly.
