This week the children will learn about light. They will learn that light is a kind of energy that travels through air and space in tiny waves that are far too small to see. We will look at a number of light sources including the most important light source of all, the Sun. The children will learn that the light and heat from the Sun is essential for life on Earth, and that, without the Sun, we would not be here. Throughout the week, the children will conduct a number of experiments that will prove that light travels in a straight line, is made up of many different colours, and can be reflected and refracted.
