Project: tasteThis week the children will be learning about taste. They will learn that our sense of taste works together with our sense of smell. The taste buds on our tongue send information about the food to our brain. The tongue detects different tastes. The basic ones are sweet, sour, salt and bitter.
The ability to smell and taste food gives us an appetite to eat good food and discourages us from eating bad or unsuitable food.
